Pricing & billing
How much does service cost?+
Rates are competitive and depend on yard size, number of dogs, and how often we visit. Recurring service for one dog starts around $14.99/visit (twice weekly), $18.99/visit (weekly), or $33.99/visit (every other week), and scales with additional dogs. The easiest way to lock in an exact number is a free quote.
Does my first (initial) cleaning cost more?+
Usually a little — the first visit takes extra time to fully reset the yard. Most initial cleanups run under $49.99, and well-maintained yards on recurring service often skip the initial fee entirely.
We haven't cleaned in a few weeks or months — is there an initial charge?+
Most likely, since waste really adds up after a couple weeks. One-time and neglected-yard cleanups are billed per 5-gallon bucket, and your regular recurring rate applies on every visit after that.
How do you bill me?+
We bill every two weeks, after your cleanups (bi-weekly, post-service). Automatic card or direct deposit is our preferred no-hassle method — we also accept cash and checks.
Can I be billed automatically?+
Yes — automatic card is our preferred method, billed bi-weekly after service. Cash and checks are welcome too.
Are there any contracts?+
Never. No contracts, cancel anytime.
Do you offer discounts for veterans, first responders, or public service workers?+
Yes — we proudly offer 10% off to military service members and veterans, police, first responders, and public service workers. Just let us know you qualify when you sign up.
Scheduling & communication
Do you offer flexible scheduling?+
Yes — we'll work around your preferred day and time, though most areas have set service days.
How often can you service my yard?+
Anywhere from a one-time visit up to 3 times a week. Weekly is most common.
Do you service yards year-round?+
Yes, weather permitting.
What about holidays?+
We're closed for major holidays — Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Any visit that falls on one of those days moves to the next available service day.
What about vacations?+
Postpone, change, or cancel anytime.
How will I know when you're coming?+
Opt into call or text alerts — we'll notify you when we're on the way, when we're done, and if we're ever delayed.
How will I know it's you in the yard?+
Beyond the notifications, we'll knock or ring on request, and our techs wear bright reflective vests.
How do I know you've serviced my yard?+
Check your service days in the client portal — the tech also texts you or leaves a flyer on your door.
How do I add or remove a dog from our account?+
Give us a call or update it yourself in the client portal.
What if we move?+
Just call with your new address and we'll take care of the rest.
Access, gates & pets
Do you secure the gate on entrance and exit?+
Always — your dog's safety is our top priority. We close and check every gate on the way in and out.
Should I unlock my gate?+
Yes — our techs won't climb fences. We can also provide a combination lock on request.
What if the gate is locked?+
We'll knock and let you know. We won't climb over — the first time we'll reschedule, but repeat lockouts may be charged.
My gate is broken — can you still service my yard?+
Yes, as long as we can safely get in. We'll never jump or climb a fence.
Do I need to restrain my dog?+
Only if your dog is aggressive with strangers — otherwise they're welcome to stay outside.
What if there's an aggressive dog?+
Please secure protective dogs before we arrive.
Can my dogs be out while you clean?+
Yes — if your dogs let us scoop, we love getting to know them.
Weather
What if there's bad weather?+
If the ground is clear and it's above freezing, we'll be there.
How do you handle weather-related delays?+
We aim to reschedule within 3 days. If we can't, service moves to the following week.
What we service
How do you find all the waste?+
We work in an overlapping grid pattern with trained, experienced techs — so nothing gets missed.
What's the best way to dispose of animal waste?+
We haul it off-site and dispose of it at local landfills. (Pet waste shouldn't be composted.)
What types of animal waste do you handle?+
If it's outdoors, we'll handle it. We service residential, commercial, HOA/association, government, parks & rec, open space, and agricultural properties. We stick to the outdoors — we don't service indoor waste.
Will you scoop goose and deer waste?+
Yes — including open spaces and city parks or lakes.
Do you service commercial properties?+
Yes — reach us at info@coloradopooperscoopers.com or 720-594-3504.
Do you offer services to cities and counties?+
Yes — open spaces, dog parks, and playgrounds, including goose-poop removal.
What other services do you offer?+
Beyond regular scooping, we offer an all-natural lawn spot-treatment and deodorizer that tackles odor and pet-urine damage.
My dog doesn't use the yard — can you service other areas?+
Yes — front, back, and side yards, dog runs, and pool areas.
